Ackbx uGrabber Chrome extension

Overview

Snap, Scribble, Save is a Chrome extension designed to help you instantly capture, annotate, and save any webpage with ease. Your privacy is extremely important to us. This policy outlines how the extension handles your data.

Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or share any personal data.

  • No analytics.
  • No tracking.
  • No third-party data sharing.
  • No user profiling.

Permissions and Usage

To provide its core functionality, the extension requests certain Chrome permissions:

🔒 Storage

We store only Google Drive folder IDs locally.

  • Why? To help you save screenshots faster by remembering your chosen Drive folders.
  • Where? Stored only in your browser’s local storage.

🖥️ Active Tab Access

  • Why? To capture the visible content of the webpage when you click the screenshot button.
  • What it does: The extension reads only what’s necessary to generate the screenshot. It does not access your browsing history or content outside of your active tab during use.

⚙️ Scripting

  • Why? After capturing a screenshot, the extension opens a new tab and renders the image on a canvas so you can crop, draw, and annotate directly in the browser.

Google Drive Integration

We use Google OAuth to connect securely with your Google Drive account.

  • Purpose: To allow you to save screenshots directly to your own Drive.
  • What’s stored? Screenshots are uploaded only to your Drive.
  • Visibility: All screenshots are private by default. You may choose to create a shareable link for specific images if desired.

Third-Party Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties. All actions and data remain on your device or within your Google account.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If any significant changes are made, we will notify users via the Chrome Web Store listing or update logs.
